How to allow microphone and camera permissions from your browser

We recommend using Google Chrome for the best Boostlingo Events experience. This guide highlights how to allow the use of your microphone and camera on the most commonly used browsers:

In case you blocked access by mistake, click either of the logos below for your specific browser.

Moderators, speakers, and interpreters on the Boostlingo Events platform require approved microphone and camera access on the browser they are using.

Allowing your camera and microphone on Google Chrome

When connecting from Chrome, a pop-up window will appear asking you to allow the use of your camera and microphone. Press Allow as shown below.

Allowing the use of your camera and microphone on Safari

When connecting from Safari, a pop-up window will appear asking you to allow the use of your camera and microphone. Press Allow as shown below.

Every time you refresh your browser, make sure to allow the devices again if asked to do so.

When you deny access to the camera and microphone, you will get the following Image in the top right corner:

How to change your microphone and camera access settings

To change the microphone/camera permissions on Google Chrome:

  • Click on the lock or camera icon next to the address bar, press it, and change the settings to allow the page to access the devices.

  • Finally, refresh your browser window and you'll be good to go.

The way to change this in Microsoft Edge is:

  • Click on the lock icon at the beginning of the address bar, and a menu will appear with the website permissions. make sure that the Microphone is on "Allow".

  • Now refresh your browser again for the settings to be applied.

The way to change this in Safari is:

  • Click on 'Safari' on the top menu bar and choose 'Preferences' as shown below

  • On the new pop-up window (shown below) please choose 'Websites' from the top bar and set "Allow" for the use of Microphone and Camera both for the page

  • Finally, refresh your browser window and you'll be good to go.

Make sure to tick the browser you are using to connect Boostlingo Events.
