Boostlingo Events Technical Requirements

Please find here the technical specifications to use Boostlingo Events for online events

For Hybrid events, please refer to this guide alongside the information below. 

Computer

• Minimum requirements: At least 2 GHz dual-core processor with 8 GB of RAM.
• Browser: Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Learn more about compatible browsers here
• For hybrid or on-site event organizers: OBS Studio or similar if you are hosting an event where video must be captured from a camera video signal.

Connection

• Ethernet (cabled internet source) is highly recommended for moderators, speakers and interpreters. With modern computers without an Ethernet port, it might be necessary to buy an adapter for your computer (e.g. Ethernet-to-USB or Ethernet-to-Firewire for Mac). In case an Ethernet connection is not possible, please make sure you are not more than 5 meters far from the WIFI router.
• Run a test at this link and make sure you have at least these results:
  • Minimum Download speed: 10 Mbps
  • Minimum Upload speed: 10 Mbps
  • Ping: max 50 ms
  • Jitter: max 30 ms
  • If your results differ from the above, please switch to another network or check with your internet service provider
