This is a guide for using the Boostlingo Events platform together with MS Teams (BoostLink). In case you are already using the application and need guidance to mute Teams, you can go to this section.
Step #1: Join MS Teams
Please access the MS Teams link that you have received from the organizers.
Step #2: Join BoostLink
Open the link to BoostLink that will be shared with you in the chat or by email - depending on the login options you might have to insert your name before you can join the meeting. Then select your preferred language for listening to the interpreted audio.
Depending on your device, you may see the “Enable audio” button – Please press it.
Please mute or lower the volume in the MS Teams platform to avoid double audio or echo., You can do so by opening the Settings in the MS Teams app (three dots on top-right), clicking “Device settings” and then dragging the audio volume slider to whichever level is best for you.
In case you are joining MS Teams and the BoostLink meeting on the same device, please mute the MS Teams platform to avoid double audio or echo. This can be done as follows:
- Joining MS Teams via the browser - Right-click on the browser tab and select “Mute Site” or “Mute Tab”
- Joining MS Teams via the desktop app (for Windows):
a) Go to the Windows “Volume Mixer” (bottom-right, next to the clock), by right-clicking on the Speaker icon, then click on “Open Volume Mixer”. Alternatively, you can search “Sound mixer options” in the Windows start menu.
b) Mute or lower the sound output for MS Teams
In case you are using MS Teams Live instead of a regular Teams meeting, the volume bar will be on the bottom-left of the screen of the Teams interface - You can either fully mute it or put the volume down:
