How to Enable AI Simultaneous Interpretation on Boostlingo Events

This feature is applicable for accounts under a Boostlingo Events organizational plan. In case you would like to purchase these services, you are welcome to get in touch with our Sales Team here or contact your Account Manager if you are an existing client.

After you create a multilingual event on our platform, you have the option to rely on the support of AI simultaneous interpretation, in case that human-based interpretation is not an option for you. You can follow these steps to activate this feature:

1. When creating an event, be sure to select "AI Interpretation"

   
   
   In case the event was already created, you can edit it by going to its "Details" and scrolls down in the "General" tab until you see an similar option as above.
   
   

2. From the "AI Languages" tab, you can add the languages for which audio interpretation will be available. Please tick the "Interpretation" box for any languages that should be heard with AI, and also the "Speech Recognition" boxes for any languages that will be spoken on the event. For the best performance of the AI, we recommend limiting the latter to only the languages that will be used. 

   
   If needed, you can also "Enable captions" for additional accessibility.
   
   

3. "Save Changes" on the top-right corner

   
   
   

4. The AI Interpretation feature can only be started by logged in moderators and operators - You are welcome to add moderators under the "Participants" tab - You are added by default with that role, so if you will manage the event this step can be skipped.

   
   
   

5. Once the moderator joins and starts the event, the "AI" tab on the top left (in the chat area) will allow to "Start AI Interpreters" or "Start AI Features" if captions are enabled.

   
   
   

6. Once the AI is started, please wait a few seconds until this status disappears from that tab. The speech can start right after that.

   

7. Check that the AI interpretation is working by seeing if the green dots are blinking for both the "Speech Recognized" and "AI Output" languages. In case that the speech is not recognized, please make sure to check your audio settings.

   

Please note that if the event is paused, the AI features will also be paused, so the moderator must resume them after each time that happens.

For the best performance of AI Interpretation, you need to ensure that the audio quality is as high quality as it can be. We recommend following our audio checklist to ensure you can test that in advance.

Events with AI interpretation can be run at your own convenience, yet we can also provide live support for an additional fee. Please contact your Account Manager for knowing about that option.
