As an event creator, you can set up an event to have the Lobby feature activated - This can be done through the "General" settings tab of any event you set up. Enabling the Lobby will limit when audiences and speakers can join the event, so that you can coordinate with key team members before the event is officially started.
Participants who are trying to join the event as guest user will be prompted this status before they are allowed in:
Speakers/Presenters:

Audiences:
Event moderators or operators can choose to allow all or individual Presenters (Speakers) and all Audiences into the event, as seen below. You can read more information about event roles.
